Pre-Wedding
At Higgins Wedding Photography, we like to meet with the bride and groom before the wedding to discuss
format and special details and circumstances. Please call or email for an appointment.
Engagement and Bridal portraits are offered at affordable prices in our fully equipped
photography studio at our home in Unicoi, Tennessee. We are located in a scenic wooded area where outdoor photos
are available if desired. A full range of portrait sizes is available from the studio proofs. We feature a 16
x 20 canvas portrait at an extremely low price.
Wedding Day
Higgins Photography will photograph your wedding using various techniques to make your photos perfect.
We begin the photos on the day of the wedding one and one-half to two hours before the ceremony begins. We
begin with the bride first so that she can be out of sight before guests begin to arrive. Formal portraits are taken
of the bride, her family, and her attendants. Candid, photojournalist style photos are also taken of the bride getting
ready in the bride room. Next the groom is photographed with his family and attendants. Then he is photographed
alone and with his best man.
Photos are taken during the ceremony, capturing special moments including the father giving
away the bride, the vows, rings, unity candle, the kiss, etc. After the ceremony, photos of the wedding party, parents,
and the bride and groom are taken for a maximum of 30 minutes. We do not wish to keep the bride and groom away from
their guests at the reception for longer than that. We will then photograph special moments at the reception such as
the cutting of the cake, feeding, toasting, dancing, etc. Candids are taken of guests at the reception.
Your wedding album will consist of 150 - 175 photos in a deluxe white wedding album. There
is no additional charge if more photos are taken. The photos are in a 4 x 6 format. Additional albums are available
for the parents or grandparents to purchase. These will contain all of the photos that the bride and groom receive in
their album. Photos are available for pick-up approximately 3 weeks after the ceremony.
